You know you I’m sure to have been tuning in to the podcast so you know that we do all sorts of different type trivia here on the show. We asked trivia questions about all different types of bugs. Recently we’ve been talking about bed bugs. Fun fact with bed bugs that a female 1 female bedbug can lay up to 500 eggs in her lifetime. I know that’s pretty disgusting.
Here is pretty disgusting if that female happens to be living on your bed and body you and so you can see how they can get out of control extremely fast.

You know there was a study conducted in all 50 states of North America or all 50 states of the United States of America. And actually 17 percent of people surveyed mentioned that having bedbugs in the northeast or case of 17 in the Northeast 20 percent in the Midwest that would cover here Oklahoma right 20 percent of the South. 19 percent the west. OK, so this pretty evenly spread out OK 20 percent Midwest one percent north northeast 17 percent. I’m sorry. Let me start over. 17 percent northeast 20 percent Midwest 20 percent. South Korea’s 19 percent the west.
So that is all over. All over the place right all over the United States of America all over the country. These bedbugs are found and so now they are found in higher numbers in urban areas. Another reason for that is because of the population size. OK. That’s where a lot of people are living. The more people the more chances of bed bugs and more issues you’re going to have with bedbugs because that’s how they get transport. They get transport from people they climb on you don’t realize it and you go somewhere so that’s constantly happened so. So people are helping with the problem they’re making the problem worse actually and they’re helping transport the bedbugs not knowing.

And so they’ll be spread that way. Right. And so if in so because of that because there are more apartments there are more people in urban areas and larger cities. That’s why there are actually more bedbug cases there because more people are spread them write more airports for airport hospitals more interaction people more mingling with people at the movie theaters. It’s another area also so. So that means that there’s only one that actually means that the bedbugs are going to be spread more. OK. But if you don’t want that to happen to you or if you did actually pick them up or if you know someone who did who has them or if you visit a place you recently found out also has bed bugs it’s important that you get that checked out.
