Here at Platinum Pest and Lawn we service many different areas. We are excited to announce that we are now expanding to provide Pest Control in Nowata. I received a call earlier this week from a gentleman requesting pest control in Nowata. He was having issues with fleas and had no idea what to do. Thankfully he gave us a call and we got him on the schedule right away. For whatever reason, finding pest control in Nowata is very difficult. Here in Oklahoma we have mainly German Brown roaches; they’re usually smaller light brown and tan with two dark almost parallel stripes located on their backs. If you have ever dealt with roaches you know how frustrating it can be to try to get rid of them. Roaches are generally located in the kitchen and bathrooms starting in the kitchen. One way to tell if they are German brown roaches is if you see them at night and they scatter when you turn on the light. One of the best things you can do is to work on prevention. One way to prevent them is by keeping a clean kitchen by not leaving food out and cleaning it regularly. Roaches are very good about keeping their colonies alive. This is why we use non repellent products when treating roaches. When we treat for roaches we make sure to treat the inside of the cabinets (upper and lower) we treat around outlets and along the counter where it meets the wall. One of the most important places to treat is on the sides and under all appliances.
When you schedule your pest control in Nowata with Platinum Pest and Lawn, the first time we come out there to treat for roaches , our product, which is awesome, kills the living roaches but is unable to penetrate the eggs. As I mentioned earlier this specific customer also had issues with fleas. When we treat for fleas we do a broadcast spray all over the areas that have fleas such as carpets, rugs and upholstered furniture. One important piece of information that we need to know is if the customer has a crawl space which is the area underneath your home. This is important because if they do have a crawl space then we will need to treat that as well. When we treat for fleas it is important that the customer is gone during this time and for three hours after the treatment. It is also very important that customers treat their pets for fleas as well at the same time as us treating the home. Their pets need to be away from the home or at least kenneled away from the treatment area. With this service we will also email specific directions to the customer in order for the treatment to work as best as possible. Vacuuming helps hatch the eggs, so we recommend vacuuming daily before and after the treatment. When vacuuming before the treatment you can vacuum as much as you want. When vacuuming after the treatment do not vacuum more than once a day so that it doesn’t break down the products. Customers must dump the vacuuming bags in a trash can outside. After treatments, some customers may still see fleas for up to three to four weeks while the eggs are hatching. Then those live fleas will then come in contact with the product and die. The more that customers follow the instructions that we send them, the more successful the treatments that we provide will be. If customers are still seeing fleas after the four weeks they will need a follow-up treatment.Here at Platinum Pest and Lawn we provide choices. There are no contracts, and we have different memberships to fit each individual’s needs. For this gentleman specifically with the issues he was having we signed him up for our roach treatment and our flea treatment. We then suggested that he gets our premium membership for maintenance. We suggested that he gets the premium membership because that membership also includes unlimited roach treatments, unlimited flea treatments along with unlimited bed bug treatments, unlimited housefly treatments and unlimited attic dustings. Some customers believe they just need one treatment and the problem will be solved. but it is extremely important to keep maintenance on the issue in order to keep it from getting out of control. For this reason Platinum Pest and Lawn provides these affordable memberships. Here at Platinum Pest and Lawn we believe that it is easier to prevent a problem than it is to cure it.
